“白bai针zhen贡gong饼bing” which can be directly translated into “White Needle Royal(or tribute) Cake”. “BaiZhen” or “White Needle” means young bud has slim body like needle also with full silver white hairs on that. The more the white hairs means the higher level tea material on quality because of more variety on taste and rich tea liquid thanks to these tiny hair. “贡” means almost highest level on tea because in mandarin it has unique meaning of paying tribute to emperor or can be taken as gift to emperor. Even this word is abused indiscriminately in nowadays, but when it appears here, we take it as a suitable place or not misused at least.
There are also another words printed under the product name “勐meng海hai女nv儿er茶cha” means “Daughter or Girl tea from MengHai” tell us there is some relationship to the famous tea of “女儿茶” which had been taken as Royal tea in Qing Dynasty.
Sheng cha which will continuously ferment by complicate chemical reaction of Oxygen, Microbes, Enzyme and other substances contained in tea leaf. And this process is called natural fermentation or evolution which will get better effect under ideal storage condition of humidity around 75% and temperature near 20-25 Celsius with airflow and should be hidden from sun light.
