XiaoQing written as 消青 in Mandarin has deeper green color and tea leaves, thicker flavor and higher fragrance on taste compared to ZhengWei TieGuanYin.
Generally there are 3 kinds of TieGuanYin not because of the crop or tea materials just because of the different processing timings and methods and the tastes after that.
- ZhengWei(正味)： Killing green in the noon time of next day (2nd day ) after picked up. Classical TieGuanYin taste flavor.
- XiaoQing (消青)： Killing green in the afternoon of next day (2nd day ) after picked up. There are also difference of XiaoZheng and XiaoSuan.
- TuoSuan (拖酸)：Killing green in the morning of 3rd day after picked up.
Some acid like flavor one medium level which never appears on ZhengWei is also an apparent character of XiaoQing. That acid flavor will be heavier on TuoSuan TieGuanYin.
Harvested and processed in the last autumn of 2018 year in GanDe(感德) tea region belongs to AnXi county, FuJian province.
Appearance has 3 classical characters as TieGuanYin tea because of hand rolled processing.
- Dragonfly head
- Spiral body
- Frog leg.
When the tea are processed by rolling machine, the appearance is more like round ball because of the huge strength compared to humankind.
Also because of the relatively high altitude of GanDe region, the natural environment is good for growing tea.
